Butterfly Gardening

ATREE is involved in popularizing and setting up butterfly gardens in schools and campuses in and around Bangalore. We conduct practical workshops about butterfly gardening to create awareness among children and civil society at large.

We have set up a garden within a small mango and coconut orchard at the Delhi Public School, Yelahanka, Bangalore. The garden has several larval and adult butterfly plants, which attract many butterflies. The butterfly garden is used as an outdoor educational facility. The garden has a tree house with a walkway, a museum and an interpretation center that has posters containing interesting information on butterflies. The garden has slowly grown into a biodiversity garden.
